Rayna’s night was a little less lively, but way more exciting for “Nashville” audiences.

Stefan Salvatore: It does suck. Arguably the moral center of Nashville, the decision to kill Rayna off -- effectively bidding farewell to Britton after four and a half seasons -- didn’t come without hesitations. Some of our storylines are about the inability to move on. Life does go on, but Rayna lives on in these people and we feel the loss — some of them much more stronger than the others. And so a grisly car crash ultimately took Rayna’s life in a Feb. 23 episode.
