That is, how do I make a fill with horizontal lines (or whatever) in blue, instead of the default black? Either way I need to easily and quickly change the color of the black stripes by just changing the fill/stroke (And keep the white stripes white or transparent).

Thank you Among the patterns in the swatches library only black patterns are available. uniquestions, You may drag the pattern swatch from the Swatch palette/panel to the Artboard, change the colour(s), and drag it back on top of the original one to replace it.
