2019 Smooth Water Baozhong is my favorite Taiwanese oolong this season from Floating Leaves Tea. I wanted to finish 2019 by posting my most profound tea experience of the year – Floating Leaves Tea’s Taman Hong Shui Oolong. Not pictured is the Floating Leaves House Roast Oolong. I don’t write about GABA oolong much these days, as the more I drank them, the more I disliked them as they all have a distinct bad sour taste to me. I loved that tea so much I didn’t review it as I wasn’t sure I could give it justice and now that tea is out of stock to buy (but I got a bag in my stash). Always eager to learn and share. Lately, GABA teas have been popping up a lot and are trying to be trendy.

These 2 oolongs were pointed out as favorites – HeHuan Shan as the owner favorite, and many friends saying the Lishan is good. Smooth Water Baozhong is from Nangang, the birthplace of Baozhong.
