Doesn't the Bible say somewhere that the angels in heaven rejoice whenever someone turns to God?
They see friends and loved ones who accept Christ as Saviour, and they rejoice over their salvation. The only ones who can rejoice are those who know about salvation. Some of those rejoicing could be loved ones and former servants of God who labored to be a blessing. . Wouldn't they already know that this person was going to repent? Heaven does not merely rejoice in general at the idea of sinners repenting, but specifically over the individuals who turn away from the way of death to the way of life. But why would they do that? (You can read them in Luke 15:3-10). This summer I was helping one of our mentees prepare for his state math exam. This is of course a reference to Luke 15:10, and while I am certain that angels do rejoice when a sinner repents, it is not angels who are the subject of this verse.
Wouldn’t they naturally rejoice to learn that someone was saved because of their suffering? Heaven is most happy when the lost are found.
