Over 120 lives were lost, 118 of them dying in three violent, long track tornadoes that tore a path across western and northern Mississippi, southern Tennessee, and northeastern Louisiana. The February 1971 Mississippi Delta tornado outbreak struck portions of the Lower Mississippi River Valley and the Southeastern United States on February 21–22. 123 people were killed with most of those occurring on the 21st. This tornado outbreak isnt talked to much about, one of the few F5 tornadoes ever in the winter time, a couple of F4's were reoported to but a F5 in the winter time is extremely rare, its hard to come by on information.
